Milbank swimmer Thomas Bass brought home an individual fifth-place medal from South Dakota’s 13 and Over State Swim Championships. The meet was held in Pierre from March 3-5.
Bass competed in six individual events in the 13-14-year-old boys division,. He was also a member of two relays with his teammates from the Watertown Area Swim Club. The relays finished in second place in the 400-yard freestyle and third in the 200-yard freestyle. Bass’s individual results included: fifth place in the 200-yard backstroke; seventh place in the 100-yard backstroke; 12th place in the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle; 17th in the 100-yard freestyle; and 18th in the 500-yard freestyle.
