Dolores Kashmark, age 89, of Clinton, MN, and a recent resident of Fairway View Neighborhoods in Ortonville, MN, passed away on March 18, 22023, at Ortonville Area Hospital. A private family memorial service and burial will be held at a later date.
Dolores was born July 26, 1933, to John and Ione (Karow) Arndt in rural Big Stone County, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church in Clinton, MN. She attended country school and graduated with the Class of 1951 from Clinton High School.
On February 1, 1952, Dolores was united in marriage with Gene Kashmark at Elim Lutheran Church parsonage in Clinton. To this union, five children were born. Together, Gene and Dolores operated Kashmark Trucking for almost 40 years with Dolores being the “head bookkeeper.” Gene passed away in 1996 and shortly after his passing Dolores moved to Moorhead, MN, where she lived for about ten years. In 2018 she moved back to Clinton.
Dolores loved gardening and yard work but had a greater passion for woodwork and carpentry. She prided herself in the fact that she replaced the siding on the family home along with other various carpentry projects throughout her life.
Dolores is survived by her children: Denise (Roger) Lofgren of Rochester, MN; Doreen (Wayne Boogaard) Stallman of Clinton, MN; Brett (Charlotte) Kashmark of Detroit Lakes, M;, Jaylea (Paul) Ramnarine of Plymouth, MN; grandchildren: Kristopher (Rebecca) Lofgren, Garrett Lofgren, Trevor (Brandi Tweeter) Stallman, Callie (Jim) Schlieman, Jessica (Adam Haase) Kashmark, Dustin (Stephanie) Kashmark, Heather (Andy) Kunrath, Nick Ramnarine, Andrew Ramnarine and Rachel Ramnarine; step grandchildren: Dexter and Jasper Tweeter; great-grandchildren: Jackson and Lauren Schlieman, Greyson Kunrath; and brother, Warren Arndt.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; parents: John and Ione Arndt; in- laws: Stephen and Virginia Kashmark; daughter, Darcy Kashmark; siblings: Geraldine (Harold) Lillehaug, Eileen (Paul) Grommesch, and Jack (Leila) Arndt; and sister-in- law Marilyn Arndt.
