Milbank High School entered 116 band members in the Region III Solo and Ensemble Music Contest in Milbank. The contest included 38 solos and 12 ensemble groups. All performances were based on tone, intonation, rhythm, interpretation/musicianship, technique, and other performance factors.
The instrumentals from Milbank received 12 Superior Plus, 19 Superior, six Superior Minus, five Excellent Plus, and eight Excellent ratings.
Mrs. Elizabeth Schulte, Mrs. Kristi Seehafer, Mrs. Pam Neugebauer, and Elsie Seffrood provided accompaniment for the contestants.
