Seventeen juniors and four seniors from MHS were inducted into the National Honor Society on Monday, March 27. The honorees included: Raul Berrones Pedraza, Jenna Dexter (Sr.), Nicholas Fonder, Aubrey Fraasch, Jayden Johnson, Hope Karels, Isaiah Korstjens (Sr.), Maggie Kruger, Amelia Pederson, Kadence Rausch Frank, Joseph Schulte, Brooke Schwagel, Will Snaza (Sr.), Gauge, Stengel (Sr.), Nadia Thue, Avery Van Overbeke, Isabella Vogel, Olivia Wendland, Stella Wendland, Sophia Whitlow, and Jaclyn Wiik.
Traditionally, only juniors have been selected for membership. The 2023 ceremony marked the first year the Milbank chapter has invited seniors to join. Students must have a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible to apply. Selection is also based on scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Members installed in 2022 and parents of the inductees also attended the ceremony in the high school theater.
