MHS junior Amelia Pederson was awarded second place in the drawing category at the John Sieh Legacy art show at Dakotah Prairie Museum in Aberdeen on April 19-20. Artists from 17 high schools in North and South Dakota competed individually and as teams.
Created in 1996 as a two-day event, students enter their artwork, participate in workshops with local artists, and receive constructive and supportive feedback. An open house for visitors was held each day of the exhibition.
