Everything about Milbank’s Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will stay the same EXCEPT the location.  The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta on Saturday, May 6, will have a change of venue, but not a change of heart. The free family-friendly fiesta is moving into the Milbank Elementary School due to the forecasted rain. All activities will go on as planned from 2:00-8:30 p.m.

Taco bout a fun day! It all starts at 2 p.m. with a warm welcome and the Mexican and American National Anthems. Keep the beat going with two  bands — including a mariachi band to guac your world. Ride (or watch your friends ride) the mechanical bull.

Kids, bounce out some of that energy in the inflatables and make new friend-chips. Register to win a bike or a scooter!  Play bingo, smile for the photo booth, and take a whack at the piñatas. Don’t miss the vendors and food trucks with tempting treats for everyone. “Cinco de Mayo boring… said no Juan ever!

Food trucks will be stationed outside. In the case of a downpour, the food will move inside the school.

The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is brought to you by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) and  Milbank business sponsors. Jamie Henderson, director of MACC says, “Same great fun, just a different location. Join us for a celebration of Hispanic culture!”

The MACC has a membership of approximately 175 area businesses and organizations. MACC’s mission is to work to promote favorable economic growth and vitality for our membership and business community by marketing the region to new individuals, as well as businesses, and producing economic impact from tourism.
