Milbank High School seniors will graduate this Sunday, May 14, at  2 p.m. at the Milbank Armory. Everyone is welcome to attend. 
Superintendent Justin Downes will conduct the ceremony. Principal Dan Snaza will present the class.  Elizabeth Neugebauer and Max Lightfield, members of the Class of 2023, have been selected as speakers. Music will be provided by the MHS instrumental and vocal departments under the direction of Susan Karels and Miriam Schwenn. 

Honor graduates include Luis Berrones Pedraza, Dylan Bohn, Harley Davis, Jenna Dexter, Averie Engebretson, Adelynn Farrell, Samuel Femling, Aidan Foell, Marianna Fonder, Laney Forrette, Sawyer Gauer, Eli Johnson, Laura Johnson, Merik Junker, Isaiah Korstjens, Tyler Lee, Maxwell Lightfield, Madilyn Loeschke, Aiden Ludvigson, Tice Mursu, Elizabeth Neugebauer, Ashlyn O’Farrell, Justus Osborn, Rylie Overby, Carter Phinney, Cadence Pillatzki, Hallie Pillatzki, Zachariah Ringsaker, Barrett Schneck, Nadia Schneck, Hallie Schulte, Cassidy Schwagel, Casside Seezs, Elsie Seffrood, Jacob Shelstad, Jasmine Smith, Will Snaza, Gauge Stengel, Maurina Street, Madison Tesch, Paul Van Dover, Avery Whitesitt, Camryn Wiese, Julia Wiik, and Emily Jo Wollschlager. 

The Class of 2023 chose baby’s breath as their class flower and maroon and gold as their class colors. The class motto is “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That’s why we call it ‘the present.”  Its origin is uncertain, but is attributed to Alice Morse Earle an American social historian and author of books on colonial America.
