Over 2,500 Burgers Served at Annual VQ Cheeseburger Day

For over three decades, the community has gathered at Valley Queen’s annual Cheeseburger Day. This year, the company reported approximately 2,500 burgers, along with chips and milk, were enjoyed on Tuesday, June 6.
FFA members greeted the guests at the free-will donation tent.

Cassidy Schwagel, The Valley Express Miss Milbank for 2023, and Tenley Adelman, Little Miss Milbank, mingled with the crowd. Elizabeth Schulte’s Whetstone Valley Strings and musician Delvin Hackwith entertained everyone with live music. 

Valley Queen staff and members of the Milbank FFA Chapter and the South Dakota Junior Holstein Association served the meals. Both organizations will receive donations from the freewill offerings given for the meals. The 4-H malt wagon also sold malts to help fund their organization and promote “June is Dairy Month”.
