The Milbank Junior Teeners met Clark at Pribyl Park on Wednesday, June 14. Milbank lost game one 18-3 and game two 12-1, but not before they put up a fight. At the bottom of the third and trailing 5-0, Jaxson Wiese reached first on an error by the first baseman. He stole second and third, then made it home on a balk by Clark’s pitcher. Jeter Scoular and Aiden Kelly both walked. Then, Tyler Heinje came up and slapped a single to load the bases.
Will Muellenback drew a bases-loaded walk to get Milbank back in the game at 5-2.In the bottom of the fourth, Wiese again reached on an error, and Scoular and Kelly followed with walks to load the bags. Heinje sent out a single. The scored nudged to 10-3, but it was not enough. Milbank eventually fell 18-3.Milbank faced tough pitching from Clark’s ace in game two. Clark took the win 12-1.
