The American Legion Post 9 baseball team traveled to Lake Norden on Friday night, June 16. They faced a tough Post 260 team. Despite outhitting Post 260 in game one, Post 9 took the loss 5-0. Justus Osborn tallied two of Milbank’s six hits. Joe Schulte, Josh Pederson, Merik Junker, and Reese Rabe added one hit apiece.
Osborn hurled six innings on the rubber. He allowed four hits, three earned runs, and struck out 10 Lake Norden batters.
In game two, Lake Norden again earned the win. Pederson had Milbank’s only hit. Schulte pitched all six innings. He struck out 11 batters. See Post 9 back in action on Friday June 23. Milbank travels to Northville to take on WIN.
