Pederson Places Third at Madison Tennis Tourney

Lady Bulldog  Amelia Pederson placed third at the Madison Invitational Tennis Tournament held Friday and Saturday, August 18-19. Pederson, playing at No. 4, posted wins against St. Thomas More and Spearfish. 
Hope Karels, at No. 1, collected a win against Madison to take sixth place. Ashlynn Lamp  was defeated  0-3. Jenna Korstjens  was defeated 0-3. Caitlyn Frerichs was defeated 0-4, and Jericho Jones finished 0-3.

In doubles play, Karels and A. Lamp, at No. 1, put up a win against Lennox to finish 1-2.  Korstjens and Pederson were defeated 0-3. Charlotte Swanson and Payton Lamp, at No. 3, also were defeated 0-3.

What’s next for tennis? Milbank was scheduled to host Madison on Tuesday, August 22, but due to the high heat that match was postponed until August 28. Catch them in action tomorrow, Friday, August 25. The Lady Bulldogs compete in a triangular at Marshal High School that also includes Lac qui Parle Valley.
