It’s not too late to get fresh eggs for your breakfast, fresh veggies for your salads, and fresh flowers to perk up your whole house. The Milbank Farmers Market will be open on Tuesday, September 12. Stop by from 3-6 p.m. at Flynn Park — just off Highway 12 and behind the Milbank Visitors Center at 1001 E. 4th Avenue. Around 24 vendors are signed up. Some are regulars and some change from week to week. There’s always something for everyone!
You’ll find jams bursting with flavor, rich, creamy fudge and other baked goodies, handmade soap, potted plants, hand-sewn items, canned foods, crafts, decor and more. Or fetch a treat for Fido or your other favorite four-legged friends.
The Milbank Chamber sponsors the market, and vendors Danelle Stohr and Christina Moss have been helping to coordinate it. Jamie Henderson, director of the Chamber, says, “I am so excited about how the Milbank Farmers Market has grown this year. Traffic has been great and the shade has made it an awesome location. The market will go through at least September 26, but if things are going well and the weather cooperates, we may extend the season into October.”
