DeBoer Ties for Ninth at State Golf Tourney in Rapid City Today

Jonathan DeBoer tied for ninth place at South Dakota’s 2023 State A Golf Tournament. The two-day tournament concluded today, October 3,  in Rapid City.

Anthony Lanham of West Central was the medalist. He carded a one-under-par 143 with a 68 on the front nine and a 75 on the back.  Vincent VanLiere of St. Thomas More shot a 145 (75-70) for second place. Dakota Munger of Chamberlain rolled into third place at 151 (73-78).

DeBoer carded a 158 (75-83) to tie with Payton Koehn of Parkston (83-75) and Kaden Bursheim of Flandreau (83-75).

Bulldog Owen Fisher shot a 176 with an 85 on the front and a 91 on the back. He tied for 44th place with Carson Sanders of Tri Valley (88-88), Ben Akin of Elk Point Jefferson (88-88), and Tate Steffensen of Sioux Valley (85-91).

Milbank did not receive a team score. Vermillion won the tournament at 642 (+66).
