Skylar Ray Bohn, age 26, former resident of Milbank, passed away October 2, 2023, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, due to a tragic accident.

Skylar (Sky) Ray Bohn (Little Boo Baby) was born on October 31, 1996, in Watertown, South Dakota. He joined his father, Dennis Bohn, and siblings, Tiffany and Damion. At nine months of age, his grandparents, Larry and Barbara (Mama) Bohn, took him in and raised him with unconditional love.
Skylar graduated from Milbank High School in May 2015. Upon graduation, he worked various jobs. He married the love of his life, Brandi Trautman, on December 10, 2020. The couple lived in Watertown for two years and then moved to Sioux Falls.

They stayed busy working hard and playing harder. They were frequently at the lake to kayak, trail hike, and do small rock climbing. Skylar enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He loved cooking and having everyone nearby. Skylar loved his motorcycle that he bought from his grandpa and the calmness and freedom it gave him, even on short rides. He adored having his fur-babies (all 9) around him and the warm cuddles and smiles they provided. Skylar was always looking for more tattoos and piercing ideas. He made everyone around him happy and always kept people laughing with his jokes or his stories.

Skylar is survived by his wife, Brandi Bohn of Sioux Falls; sister, Tiffany Bohn (Derek) of Summit;  brother, Damion Bohn of Watertown; grandfather, Larry Bohn of Twin Brooks; aunt, Brenda Bohn of Milbank; uncle, Tim (Lana) Bohn of Hayti; father, Dennis Bohn; stepchildren: Julian, Autumn, and Alexander; nieces, Daylynn, and Felicity; cousins: Brittany, Bridget, Ashley, Aaron, Dilyn, and Derek among many others; special friends Tyler Grear and Danielle Kinnel and Sarah Benjamin; and adopted niece, Lilly, and nephew, Jackson. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara, and many close friends and relatives.

No funeral service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held this evening, October 6, at Larry Bohn’s residence at 14686 471st Ave. Twin Brooks. Please join the family any time from 5-9 p.m.
