The annual Scouting For Food drive starts this Saturday, October 21 and runs through Friday, October 27. Cub Scout Pack 38 and Scout BSA Troop 45 of Milbank facilitate the campaign to help fight hunger in Grant County. 

According to local scoutmaster Jeff Loutsch, Scout tents will be set up to collect the food at two locations — Berens’ Warehouse Groceries and Lewis Drug. Scouts will donate and deliver the food to the Grant County Food Pantry.

Feeding South Dakota estimates that one of nine children in South Dakota is food insecure. Of the people they serve:* 56 percent have had to choose between food and medical care* 68 percent have had to choose between food and housing*58 percent have had to choose between utilities and housing
