Milbank FFA will send two teams and two individuals to South Dakota’s 2023 State Leadership and Development Events (LDE) in Rapid City on December 3-4. The state-bound members qualified at the LDE in Doland on Monday, November 13. 

Raul Berrones, Nick Fonder, Veronica Fonder, Kalli Grong, Kenzie Kooima, Ashlynn Lamp, Landon Novy, Abigail Pillatzki, and Megan Wiese earned first place in Parliamentary Procedure and advance to the state contest. 

Addison Brown, Miriam Dek Angel Chavez, Alexis Meyer, Mackenzie Mueller, Macy Mueller, Bailey Schwagel, and Sam Shelstad took first place in the Chapter Conduct Meeting category and also advance to State as a team. 

Megan Wiese won a first-place award in Employability Skills and will represent Milbank at State. She was also chosen as the District 1 Sentinel.  Ashlynn Lamp collected second place in Ag Broadcasting and will compete in that category at the state meet.
