Santa’s reindeer, Olaf and Flakes, hoofed it to the Holiday Magic event on Sunday, December 3, at the Milbank Hospital. Olivia Wendland, Miss Milbank 2024, and Little Miss Milbank, Brooklyn Gertsema, also attended the event with The Valley Express.
According to Susie Wendland, coordinator of Holiday Magic, 450 kids lined up to see the reindeer, sit on Santa’s knee, meet Mrs. Claus, eat peppermint ice cream, and take home a gift bag filled with magical reindeer food and snowman soup (hot chocolate kits).
“The weather was perfect, for Olaf and Flakes” S. Wendland said, and It was the perfect start to the holiday season,”
