Milbank Area Gymnasts Score Season-High Points at Hub City

Milbank Area Gymnasts scored a season-high 118.975 points to place seventh at the Hub City Invitational in Aberdeen on Saturday December 9.  Harrisburg won the tournament with 142.075 points. Milbank and Britton-Hecla were the only non-AA schools in the competition.‌

The Lady Bulldogs started the tournament by competing in the Floor competition. Hannah Brown scored 8.7 to take 14th place.  Macyn Dunnihoo scored 8.575 to take 18th place. Gemma Street added a barani – an aerial somersault flip with a 180-degree turn that is usually carried out halfway through the front flip – to her routine to meet the full requirements. She scored 7.95 to take 32nd place. Mady Sletten scored 7.95 to finish in 33rd place. Raina Untalan placed 36th at 7.7.

In the Vault competition,  Hannah came in 18th with her score of  8.375. Gemma performed a ½ to score a 7.8. to finish in 30th place  Macyn earned a 32nd-place finish with a score of 7.775.  Mady was 36th at 7.45, and Raina was 40th at 7.55.

On the Bars, Hannah placed 17th at 7.025. Macyn took 20th with a  6.95.  Mady took 37th at 5.35. Gemma was 37th at 5.3, and Aria Prasnicki claimed 39th at 5.2.

In the All Around competition, Hannah placed 11th with a 32.05. Macyn was 16th with 30.775, and  Gemma finished 20th with a 27.8.

What’s next? Milbank takes on Britton-Hecla on Wednesday, December 12. The meet begins in Britton at 6 pm.  On Saturday, December 16, watch the Lady Bulldogs perform at the Milbank Invitational. Things get rolling at 10 a.m.
