Diane Lee (Pollock) Woods was born on November 18, 1951, to Donald and V. Norma (Steltz) Pollock in Milbank, SD. She attended Milbank school where she was active in 4-H and later graduated from Milbank High School with the Class of 1971.

On July 3, 1976, Diane was united in marriage with Stephen Woods in Milbank. They were blessed with two daughters: Sara and Stephanie. The family made their home in Milbank.

Along with raising her two girls and keeping her home, Diane worked as a store clerk for 28 years at Alco Discount Store. She also worked as a cook in the Milbank High School cafeteria for 18 years.

Diane was a member at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she served in the kitchen. She was a wonderful cook and baker with one of her specialties being her dump bars, which earned many purple ribbons at 4-H events for her daughters.
Diane enjoyed spending time at the lake cabin, cooking, baking, fishing, and bowling. She also liked watching Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. Diane loved talking on the phone, but above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish Diane’s memory are her husband, Steve Woods of Milbank, SD; two daughters: Sara Woods of Watertown, SD; and Stephanie Woods of Watertown, SD; one brother, Duane (Sandy) Pollock of Milbank, SD; great friend of 57 years, Lynette Gussiaas of Sioux Falls, SD; many nieces and nephews; and her dog and wonderful companion, Mia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
