Yohana Ajwanga made 19 points and hauled in seven offensive rebounds and one defensive rebound to top the Bulldogs in their varsity game against Clark-Willow Lake on December 14. But the Bulldogs could not fend off the Cyclones, and they took the loss at 57-53.

Garrett Mertens helped the cause with 15 points and three rebounds. Joe Schulte scored 11 points and hauled down six rebounds. Jackson Wildung made eight points and controlled five rebounds.

The Bulldogs shot 39 percent from the floor, including 17 percent from beyond the arc. They knocked down 12 of their 22 free throws for nearly 55 percent.

Bo Begeman was the Cyclones’ top shooter. He scored 20 points. Jack Helkenn added 15 points and four rebounds. Emerson Larson made 11 points and snagged seven rebounds. Sully Felberg made eight points and claimed two rebounds. Griffen Musser made two points. Aaron Zemlicka added one point and three rebounds.

The Cyclones hit 44 percent of their shots from the floor. They were six of 22 from long range for 27 percent. They also downed 15 of 25 from the free throw line for 60 percent.

The JV Bulldogs stopped the Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones 36-19 on December 14. Ryan Keeton led Milbank with 16 points and four rebounds. Jack Howard followed with six points and five rebounds .Este Abrego-Gonzalez made four points and four rebounds. Howie Zemlicka had three points and two rebounds. Emmett Hanson, Bryan Meyer, and Howie Zemlicka each added two points.

The Bulldogs hit 35 percent of their shots. They put in four of their 10 free throws. Sully Felberg, Jakob Steen, and Zack Ambrose led the Cyclones with four points apiece. Felberg, Ky Undersnick, and Talen Huber each snagged three rebounds. Clark-Willow Lake hit nearly 28 percent of their shots and were two of six from the free throw line.

Jaxson Wiese and Harley Zemlicka set the pace for the Bulldogs in their battle against the Cyclones of Clark-Willow on December 14. They each recorded 10 points and seven rebounds. Jeter Scoular and Garrett Weber put up five points apiece. Ethan Owen, Aiden Kelly, and Liam Heller each added two points to Milbank’s total.

The Bulldogs hit 40 percent of their shots from the floor and downed 60 percent of their free throws. The Cyclones finished with a 26.5 shooting percentage and landed two of six from the charity stripe.
