Becky Joan Campbell, age 61, of South Shore, SD, died on January 5, 2024, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in South Shore, SD. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Pastor Ken Nelson will officiate, and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Stockholm, SD.

Becky Joan Campbell was born on February 21, 1962, in Milbank, SD. She was the daughter of Joan Jeanine (Miller) and Dean Mors. She grew up in South Shore and graduated from South Shore High School with the Class of 1980.

On September 19, 1981, she was united in marriage with Curtis Jerald Campbell in Brookings, SD. Together, they were blessed with 42 years of marriage and one son, Curtis Jerald Campbell II.

Becky was a tremendous volunteer. She was involved with South Shore Community Development and was the Chairman of the South Shore Hee-Haw Show. She wrote, directed, and produced the comedy show on her own for two years. She worked at Reliabank in Watertown, SD, for 21 years and cherished her friendships with her coworkers.

One of her favorite things to do was to be outside – in her garden and barefoot. She enjoyed lawn mowing and yardwork. She encouraged everyone to join her in the great outdoors. She had an adventurous side and convinced Curt to go on a submarine excursion while on a cruise. She didn’t waste a single minute on that trip. She could easily turn a bad time into a good time. You would have fun with her whether you wanted to or not.

Becky loved animals. She adored her many cats, and she even had a beloved pet duck as a child. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses. She had a huge heart and was kind to all animals. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling. She had the opportunity to travel across the country in a camper over the course of three weeks.

Becky is survived by her husband, Curtis Campbell of South Shore, SD; son, Curtis Campbell II of Watertown, SD; sister, Vicki Mors of Watertown, SD; nephews: Clinton Mors of Norfolk, VA; Johnny Mors of Seattle, WA; and niece, Nicolette Norton of Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dean and Joan Mors.
