“It was really good to get back into game action and play,” commented Logan Diede, head coach for the Bulldogs. “Having nine days off between games as we did had its positives (as we were able) to work on some things. But, at the end of the day, we were excited to have another opportunity to compete. I was proud of the boys’ energy tonight from top to bottom. Everyone on the team contributed in one fashion or another.”

Mertens, Abrego-Gonzalez, and Ryan Keeton each pulled down two. Braylen Bowsher, Rick, Ajwanga, Mason Meister, and Zemlicka  grabbed one apiece.

The Bulldogs hit 59 percent of their shots from the floor, including 30 percent from long range. They downed half of their charity shots. The Pheasants made just over 30 percent of their attempts and struggled to score from three. They connected on just three of 14 for 21 percent. From the line, they made five of nine for nearly 56 percent.

“We will have a lot of games flying at us now,” Diede said, “so we need to keep bringing energy every day, getting better, and staying ready to compete – which the boys have done a great job of all year.”
