Hannah Brown and Macyn Dunnihoo Win Firsts at MAHACA Meet

The Lady Bulldogs gymnastics team scored a season-high 123.25 points in their dual with the Morris Area/Hancock/Chokio-Alberta (MAHACA) Lady Tigers on Tuesday, January 23, in Morris, Minnesota. MAHACA was nipping at their heels in second place with 122.625 points.

Milbank Area started on the Vault and earned three of five personal best scores. Hannah Brown took first-place honors with an 8.8. Macyn Dunnihoo followed with a personal best score of 8.725 for second place. Mady Sletten received an 8.45 to take eighth place, and Jada Leigh Wellnitz brought home ninth place at 7.8. Both are personal best scores. Raina Untalan cracked the top 10 with her score of 7.65 for 10th place.

On the bars, Hannah earned second place at 7.475. Macyn came in third at 6.875. Mady took sixth at 6.425; Raina, ninth at 5.85; and Aria Prasnicki, 10th at 5.3.

Hannah won the beam competition. She scored 8.35. Raina took fourth place at 7.3. Macyn was fifth at 6.9.; Jada Leigh, ninth at 6.45.; and Mady, 10th at 5.9.

Macyn won the Floor Exercise. She scored a 9.05. Hannah recorded her third state-qualifying score of 8.8 or higher with a 8.95. Her score earned second-place at the meet and prequalified Hannah for the Floor Exercise at State. Mady received an 8.0 for fifth place; Raina, 7.85 for 6th, and Aria 6.5 for 10th place.

Hannah also won the All-Around competition with a personal best score of 33.575. Macyn earned third. Mady came in sixth at 28.775. Raina brought home seventh for the Lady Bulldogs at 28.65.
