St. Lawrence School and over 6,000 other Catholic schools across the U.S. begin commemorating 2024 Catholic Schools Week this Saturday, January 27. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the annual celebration that embraces Catholic education. Catholic schools operate in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., and provide education to all faiths.

St. Lawrence School Schedule of Events:
Saturday, January 27 – 5 p.m. Mass – K-6 graders wear their khakis and blues and sit with their teachers. Students meet in the gym at 4:40 p.m. A BBQ meal – free will offering – follows at 6 p.m. Enjoy BBQs, hotdogs, chips, and a bar. Stick around for the Dance that starts at 7 p.m. Fr. Brian will be the DJ. Glow Sticks for all the kids!

Monday, Jan. 29: – No matter who you are…trust God! It’s also Career Day.

Tuesday, Jan. 30 – No matter how you feel…trust God! USA Day and Soup Day. Wear red, white, and blue. The community is invited to Soup Day from 11:30 am – 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 31 – No matter what people do…trust God! Senior Citizen vs. Baby Day.

Thursday, Feb. 1 – No matter what happens…trust God! Camo vs. Pink Day. All School Center activities in the afternoon for grades K-6.

Friday, Feb. 2 – No matter where you are…trust God! Spirit Day. Wear your St. Lawrence School shirt and khakis to celebrate your faith at all-school Mass from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. followed by a fifth-grade band concert in the gym from 9:45 – 10 a.m. Kids will watch a movie from 12:20 – 2:05. (Parents are reminded to send a drink, a snack, and something to lie down on.) The week winds down from 2:25 – 2:55 with Catholic Schools Week songs and actions in the gym.
