Lady Bulldogs Scrap with the Panthers at Dakota XII

Claire Snaza put up 10 points and Belle Pauli brought down 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Bulldogs in their game against Dakota Valley during the Dakota XII/NEC Clash in Madison on February 3. Tyra Berry scored eight points. Berry also added five boards and three steals. Averie Schuneman dropped in seven points. She also got a rebound, and a steal. Isabella Anderson recorded five points and two rebounds.

Milbank was able to hang with Dakota Valley throughout the first two quarters, and the score remained close at 21-18 going into the locker room for half time. The Panthers started to pull away in the third and scored nearly 20 points in the coda to surge ahead to defeat Milbank 53-31.

Dakota Valley’s Ella Otten scored 21 points – four more than her game average of 17. Aubree Worden made 13. Cameryn Sommervold had 12. Sommervold and Emersen Mead each controlled six rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs hit 26 percent of their shots from the floor. Dakota Valley finished at 42 percent. Milbank hit a solid 73 percent from the line by downing eight of 11, but the Panthers landed 11 of 13 for 85 percent.
