Schuneman Scores 10 Against Sisseton

The Lady Bulldogs have come against some fierce competition lately. One of those buzz saws was Sisseton (currently 16-1). The Lady Redmen rank in the top five in Class A and the top 10 in South Dakota, Milbank took the loss at 63-34 on February 6 in Sisseton.

It was Averie Schuneman’s night to step up for the Lady Bulldogs. She reached double figures by knocking down two 3-pointers and four free throws. Schuneman added one rebound. Isabella Anderson followed with nine points and four rebounds. She blocked one shot. Belle Pauli dropped in eight points and claimed two rebounds.

Josie Riveland nailed a 3-point shot. Ella Sandvig also made three points and grabbed a steal. Tyra Berry hauled down three rebounds and added a free throw. Siera Wenzl and Anna Neugebauer contributed one rebound apiece. Milbank claimed 15 of 21 attempts from the free throw line for 71 percent.

The duo of Krista and Chloe Langager led Sisseton in scoring. Krista tacked up 16 and Chloe made 15. Krista was also the Lady Redmen’s leading rebounder with 10. Hannah Leverson added nine points. She also blocked one shot and grabbed a steal. Ruby Rice scored eight points. At the line, Sisseton downed nearly 85 percent of their 13 free throws.
