Braydon Bauer has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Eagle is the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to Scouts, and Bauer will be recognized for his achievement on Sunday, March 10, at the American Lutheran Church. The ceremony begins at 2 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Bauer is a member of Troop 45 in Milbank. He has served as senior patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader, patrol leader, assistant patrol leader, scribe, and chaplain aid for his troop He is also an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow. In addition, he completed National Youth Leadership Training. According to his scoutmaster, Jeff Loutsch, Bauer is one of approximately only four percent of all Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle rank.

Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and successfully complete a community, church, or synagogue-related service project. Bauer planned and organized the construction of a fire pit at American Lutheran Church to provide more gathering and worshiping space.

Bauer is a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and is active in his church youth group. He is a senior at Ortonville High School and the son of Abby (Troy) Gilbertson and Verne Tschakert of Milbank.
