Grant County Emergency Management and the Aberdeen National Weather Service (NWS) will sponsor a weather spotter course on Monday, April 8. The one-night class starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Revillo Community Center and Fire Department. Kelly Serr from the NWS will serve as the instructor. The class is open to the public and will also be attended by many firefighters and first responders.

Kevin Schuelke, director of Grant County Emergency Management, says, “Weather spotters are especially important in our area as the nearest Doppler radar is in Aberdeen. The weather service likes to hear what is happening so that they can compare it to what they are seeing on radar.”
