Come Uno, Come All to the Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Lake Farley Park in Milbank on Saturday, May 4. May 4? Si, the 5th of May celebration is happening on May 4. Accordion to our sources, it’s all part of the crazy, fun, and delicious time you’ll have at the biggest Mexican-American extravaganza of the year. But you don’t need to speak Spanish to attend. Everyone is welcome!

The fiesta starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday and keeps rolling until 8 p.m. Win a bike or a scooter! Seven bikes and two scooters will be given away to nine lucky niños or niñas. Listen and watch for the mariachi band, a DJ, and Mexican folk dancers. Kids can jump on the inflatables, play games, or whack a pinata. Stop by the craft vendors and food trucks or relax with a cold cerveza in the beer garden. Plus, everyone who attends receives one ticket for a chance to win a basketball, football, or soccer ball.

The Fiesta is brought to you by the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) and its generous, local sponsors. “This is our third annual Cinco de Mayo celebration and it’s even bigger and better,” says Jamie Henderson, executive director of the MACC. “We are excited about our new vendors and to bring back many popular vendors and features, including the Mexican folk dance group Raíces De Mi Tierra. Come out to Farley for a fun day of food, music, dancing, and games.”

Or as one sombrero said to the other sombrero, “Go on ahead. Have some fun!”
