Milbank Crowned 10U Champions of First Bank & Trust Tourney

The Milbank 10U baseball team was declared the champion of the First Bank & Trust Tournament held at Pribyl Park in Milbank on June 15-16. The tournament fielded five teams from around the region on Saturday and eight teams on Sunday.

Organizer Heidi Wellnitz commented, “It was a great weekend. We were so thankful that the weather held on Saturday. Sunday was beautiful, and it was  great to see Pribyl Park packed full of baseball fans.”

Top Teams: 1.) Milbank  2.) Groton  3.) Miller  4.) Aberdeen  5.) Watertown.

Milbank defeated Watertown 15-7 and held Aberdeen, Groton , and Miller scoreless to take the title. (Aberdeen 6-0; Groton 12-0 and Miller 15-0). Groton, in second place, finished with a 3-1 record. Miller was third at 2-2. Aberdeen took fourth place with a  1-3 record;, and Watertown, fifth at 0-4.
