Region 1B Amateur Baseball Tourney Starts Tomorrow in Milbank

The  Region 1B Amateur Baseball Tournament, hosted by Milbank, starts tomorrow, Saturday, July 27.  The Firechiefs (10-2) join six other teams in their quest for a spot in the state tournament. Four of the seven teams advance. 

The Firechiefs play their first game on Sunday at 5 p.m. They face the winner of the Elkton vs. Clark game on Saturday.

The Lake Norden Lakers (10-2), Castlewood Ravens (9-5), Ramona Express (0-10), Volga Cormorants (5-9), Elkton Snappers (5-9) and Clark Traders (6-3) will all be in town and on the hunt.  The tournament continues next week and concludes on either Thursday, August 1 or Friday, August 2.

The 2024 South Dakota State Tournament starts Wednesday, August 7, in Mitchell.
