Your Chance to Name a Snowplow

It’s that time of the year again. Winter! Why mumble and grumble about it? Have a good laugh instead with the annual Name a SDDOT Snowplow Contest hosted by the South Dakota Department of Transportation.The contest runs through midnight on Friday, December 6. All South Dakotans are encouraged to play.

Plug into your imagination and submit an appropriate, witty, and fun name for a snowplow. The winners will be announced in December and one snowplow from each of the 12 SDDOT geographic areas across South Dakota will be given a nickname. Milbank-area contestants compete in the Watertown region. So far, Milbank has not produced a winner, but this could be the year. In January, the 12 winners will take photos alongside their snowplow.
