The Milbank Area gymnasts took sixth place in Aberdeen at the Hub City Invite on Saturday, December 14. The Lady Bulldogs scored 126.35 points –  a season high–  to bring home sixth place. 

Hannah Brown and Aria Prasnicki performed solid no-fall beam routines. Hannah earned a personal best score of 9.1 to tie for fourth place. Macyn Dunihoo scored 7.8 to tie for 17th place. Gemma Street scored 7.4 for 21st place. Raina Untalan scored 6.95 to tie for 24th place. Aria scored 5.95.

On the Floor exercise, Hannah added her front layout-full for the first time this season, to collect a score of  8.95 for ninth place. Raina performed a clean routine to secure a score of 8.35 to tie for 16th place. Macyn scored 8.2 for 18th place, Aria added a  one-half twist branny, an event requirement, to earn a personal best score of 8.0 and tie for 20th place. Gemma scored a 7.3 to place 24th.

Macyn scored a personal best of 8.85 to tie for sixth place on the Vault. Hannah was right behind her with an 8.8 to tie for seventh place. Raina joined her teammates by also  scoring  a personal best. She scored 8.25 to tie for 14th place. Gemma took 19th place at 7.9.  Aria took 20th place at 7.6.

On the Bars, Hannah performed a no-stop clean bar routine to score a personal best of 7.8. She earned 14th place. Macyn at 7.45 took 17th place. Aria performed her long hang kip connection and fly-away for the first time. She scored a personal best of 6.45 to take 24th place. Gemma was next in 25th place at 6.1. Raina was right behind her in 26th place at 5.55.

In the All-Around competition, Hannah scored a personal best of 34.65 to place in the top10 at sixth place. Macyn accrued  32.3 points for 13th place. Raina earned 29.1 for 17th place.  Gemma finished with 28.7 for 18th place, and  Aria had 28.0 for 22nd place.

What’s next? Milbank competed against Britton-Hecla on Tuesday, December 17. The Lady Bulldogs will also host the Milbank Invitational on Saturday December 21. The action starts at 11a.m.
