Carnival games, including a Cupcake Walk, Duck Pond, Sucker Tree, Bean Bags, Guess the Amount of Candy in the Jar, and Plinko are just... Benefit for Kimber Downes to Take Place Saturday

Carnival games, including a Cupcake Walk, Duck Pond, Sucker Tree, Bean Bags, Guess the Amount of Candy in the Jar, and Plinko are just a few of the activities that will be in motion at Milbank High School during the benefit for Kimber Downes this Saturday, January 11, from 4 – 8 p.m. 

Get 10 tickets for $5 or 25 tickets for $10.
Cotton candy (while supplies last)  and popcorn will also be available for the kids. Have fun at the photo booth and stop by the Zoom station to say “Hi” to Kimber, who is unable to attend.  

Raffle tickets will be on sale. Get your chance to win big prizes. Win a one-week stay in the Florida Keys, a Savage Axis 2 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle, a Pellet Grill and Smoker, 25 pounds of hamburger and a freezer to put it in, a $500 Fireworks Show, or $500 in cold, hard cash. Raffle Tickets are just $20 each or three for $50. The drawing will be held at 7:30 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.

Gear up for the fun at the free-will offering Pasta Meal. Enjoy spaghetti or similar noodles with red or Alfredo sauce, a side, pop or water, and ice cream (while supplies last). Yummy cookies and bars made by churches in the community will also be available. Can’t stay to eat? Take-out containers will be available.

A technology table with ipads and volunteers will help you sign up for an account and place your bid. The Silent Auction ends at  7 p.m.  Payment and pick up of items will follow the raffle drawing. Items prohibited from the school, can be picked up offsite. 

All money raised will help Superintendent Justin Downes and his family with medical bills and expenses. Kimber Downes has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and is undergoing 42 weeks of chemotherapy in Sioux Falls. Kimber is in junior kindergarten and an honorary Little Miss Milbank for 2025.
