Milbank Area Gymnasts Head to State

The Milbank Area gymnastics team went to Clear Lake for the Region/State Qualifying and NEC gymnastics meet on Thursday February 6. The Lady Bulldogs took sixth place  in the Region meet and fourth place in the NEC meet. They finished with a score of 131.85.

The scores at the region meet determine who makes it into the state meet. Milbank will be going in seventh place. The region meet also determines who goes individually. 

The Milbank head gymnastics coach is Kelly Wollschlager. She is assisted by Michelle
Benike, Miranda Dunnihoo and Amber Fraasch.

Individual Gymnasts who qualified for State:

Hannah Brown – Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, and All-Around.

Gemma Street  – Floor

Macyn Dunnihoo- Vault, Beam, and Floor

Mady Sletten – Vault

Raina Untulan – Beam and Floor

Aria Prasnicki – Bars

Jada Leigh Wellnitz – Vault, Bars, and Floor

Nuria Rodriguez – Floor

Vault: Hannah tied for third  – 9.05, Macyn tied for 15th –  8.625, Jada Leigh tied for 18th –  8.575, Mady tied for 23rd –  8.475, Gemma tied for 29th – 8.325, and Raina tied for 33rd – 8.25.

Bars: Jada Leigh 20th –  7.675, Hannah tied for  22nd –  7.575, Aria tied for  24th –  7.525, Macyn 33rd –  7.125, Timbree 34th –  7.05, and Mady 35th –  6.95

Beam: Hannah 15th –  8.475, Macyn 17th –  8.375, Marley Pinkert 24th –  7.775, Gemma 28th –  7.325, Raina tied for 29th –  7.25, and Jada Leigh 33rd –  6.85.

Floor: Hannah tied for seventh –  9.175, Macyn ninth –  9.1, Gemma tied for 19th with Nuria at 8.50, Raina 24th –  8.425, Jada Leigh 25th   8.35

All-Around: Hannah 10th –  34.275, Macyn 15th –  33.225, and Jada Leigh 19th –  31.45.

Vault: Hannah took First  –  9.05, Macyn tied for ninth –  8.625, Jada Leigh tied for  12th –  8.575, Mady tied for 16th –  8.475, Gemma tied for 20th –  8.325, and Raina 23rd-  8.25.

Bars: Jada Leigh 11th –  7.675, Hannah 13th –  7.575, Aria 14th –  7.525, Macyn 21st –  7.125, Timbree 22nd –  7.05, and Mady 23rd –  6.95.

Beam: Hannah Eighth –  8.475, Macyn Ninth –  8.375, Marley 16th –  7.775, Gemma 19th –  7.375, Raina 20th –  7.25, and Jada Leigh 22nd –  6.85.

Floor: Hannah tied for Third  –  9.175, Macyn Fifth –  9.1, Gemma tied for NInth with Nuria –  8.5, Raina 13th  –  8.425, and Jada Leigh 14th –  8.35.

All-Around: Hannah Fifth –  34.275, Macyn Seventh –  33.225 and  Jada Leigh 11th –  31.45.

What’s Next ? The Lady Bulldogs of Milbank The Bulldogs will compete in the afternoon sessions at the state meet both days, Friday 2/14 & Saturday 2/15 with march in starting at 3:30pm at the Watertown Civic Arena.
