Milbank’s Special Olympics traveled to Hamlin High School in Hayti on Friday, February 14, for the Northeast Area Basketball Tournament. The Milbank Schoolers went 2-0 in their division and the adults compiled a 1-1 record. Both teams advance to the state tournament.
Milbank’s Special Olympics cheerleaders will join them on the sidelines to keep the teams fired up. Plus, the cheerleaders will compete in their own division. They have prepared three cheers for the event.
The 2025 South Dakota Special Olympics State Basketball Tournament will be held in Mitchell from March 29-30. Games will take place at Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell Middle School and Mitchell High.
