

The South Dakota School Superintendent Association (SDSSA) presented the 2025 Distinguished Service Award to Tim Graf, Superintendent of the Harrisburg School District and former Superintendent of the Milbank and Wilmot school districts. Graf received the award in recognition of his exceptional leadership and dedication to public education. He has been the leader of the Harrisburg School District since 2019.
Graf’s distinguished 37-year career includes being named the South Dakota Superintendent of the Year while he was in Millbank in 2015. In 2023, the Harrisburg Chamber selected him as their Citizen of the Year.
In congratulating Graf on his award, the SDSSA stated, “Known for his steady leadership, every district under his guidance has maintained financial stability, achieved successful bond issues, and [completed] building projects. Mr. Graf has held key leadership roles in statewide organizations, including serving as President of SDSSA. He has also served on multiple executive boards.
