

Milbank hosted the Valley Queen Invitational for track and field at A. B. Campbell Stadium on Tuesday, May 6. Athletes competed from Great Plains Lutheran, Groton, Hamlin, Clark-Willow Lake, Sisseton, Langford, Aberdeen Roncalli, Florence-Henry, Rosholt, Britton-Hecla, Tiospa Zina, Wilmot, and Webster.
MHS Boys Highlights: Jeter Scoular took first in the 3200-Meter Run. Franco Flores was second. Bryan Meyer took third in the 400-Meter Dash. Sam Rick was fourth in the 100-Meter Dash. Liam Street took fourth in the 800-Meter Run.
The Bulldog Relay team made up of Meyer, Harley Zemlicka, Graham Lightfield, and Emmett Hanson took first place. In the 800-Meter Relay, Lightfield, Zemlicka, Meyer, and Hanson took first.
Hanson was first in the 110-Meter Hurdles. Lightfield was second, and Zemlicka was third. Hanson moved into the No. 5 spot on the MHS Honor Roll. Lightfield moved to No. 10. In the 300-Meter Hurdles, Hanson took first. Zemlicka was second, and Lightfield was third.
Lincoln Holscher took second in the High Jump. Lawson Novy was first in the Shot. He is now in No. 9 on the MHS Honor Roll. Oliver Korth was second at the meet in Shot Novy also took second place at the meet in the Discus competition and moved into the No. 9 spot on the MHS Honor Roll. Jeryn Bormann took eighth place at the meet in the Javelin, but his throw was good enough to land in the No. 3 spot on the MHS Honor Roll. Rick was first in the Pole Vault and Bryton Blauert was just behind him in second place.



MHS Girls Highlights: Zayda Townsend claimed first in the 400-Meter Dash and took over the No. 2 spot on the MHS Honor Roll.

Rylee Scoular took first place in the Pole Vault. Jacy Dexter took second in the Pole Vault competition. Raina Untalan was third. Anna Neugebauer took second in the Triple Jump. Her jump propelled her into the No. 7 slot on the MHS Honor Roll.
The Bulldog Relay team, made up of Ella Koplin, Townsend, Adison Pauli, and Siera Wenzl, earned second place. Bianca Berry was the runner up in the 3200-Meter Run. The 800-Meter Relay team composed of Dexter, Townsend, Violet Johnson, and Wenzl took second-place honors. Macy Mueller was third in the 300-Meter Hurdles.
