Milbank’s Willow Bender took first place,when she carded 57 at the girls junior high golf meet in Sisseton on Thursday, May 8. Zora Henrich was right behind her in second place at 60. Avigail Howard counted 62 strokes to bring home third place for the young Lady Bulldogs. Kylynn Schwandt carded a solid 66, and Ava Homrighausen was in the running at 69.
Roncalli Invitational:
Lady Bulldogs Isabella Flores and Macie VanLith traveled to Aberdeen to play in the Roncalli Invitational on Thursday, May 8. Isabella, a sophomore, carded 115 for 18th place and Macie, a freshman, took 19th place at 120.
“The girls and I were treated to a top-10 day with the weather. Aberdeen always does a great job with the course and setting it up for all players. The girls are definitely improving every meet and every week.”
Junior Claire Crawford of Roncalli was the medalist. She carded 72 at just one over par. The Cavaliers also took first place as a team. Groton was second. Aberdeen Central collected third place.
