Bulldogs and Cavaliers Take it Down to the Wire 

The Bulldogs hosted Roncalli at Cantine Courts in Milbank on Monday, May 12. The Cavaliers eked out the win after the singles division ended in a  3-3 tie. The final score settled at  5-4 in favor of Aberdeen. Greg Grabow and Alex Baugh led the way for Milbank. They each secured a win in singles and a win together in doubles. 

Singles Results –  Milbank 3 vs. Roncalli 3

1. Charles Whitesitt was defeated by Gannon May 10-4
2. Greg Grabow defeated Ezra Feickert 10-4
3. Will Muellenbach defeated Will Haskell 10-4
4. Alex Baugh defeated Ben Goebel 10-5
5. Devon Mueller was defeated by Caleb Stoks 10-2
6. James Nelson was defeated by Liam Voehl 10-2

Doubles Results – Milbank 1 vs.  Roncalli 2

1. Whitesitt and Muellenbach were defeated by May and Haskell 10-4
2. Grabow and Baugh defeated Feickert and Goebel  10-2
3. Mueller and Landen Appl were defeated by Stoks and Voehl 10-5

What’s next? (The away meet scheduled for Thursday, May 15, with Sioux Falls Christian was canceled due to weather.) The Bulldogs start play in the two-day 2025 State Tennis Tournament on Monday, May 19, in Sioux Falls. The 11 teams vying for the title will be seeded on Sunday.
