

Eric Townsend, head coach for MHS track, announced the end-of-the season accomplishments for both Bulldog teams. An awards ceremony was not held. The awards were determined by using placing-scores earned throughout the season:

Coach Townsend said the 2025 Milbank Bulldog track and field season was very successful. He also noted both teams had nearly all their season-bests at the last meets of the season. Although the athletes battled through injuries, illnesses, and themselves, several athletes from each team qualified for the state track meet.
Milbank was represented by 14 girls: Rylee Scoular, Gemma Street, Siera Wenzl, Jacy Dexter, Anna Neugebauer, Macy Mueller, Zayda Townsend, Bianca Berry, Adison Pauli, Bree Townsend, Raina Untalan, Violet Johnson, Ella Koplin, and Haylen Schneck.
Milbank was also represented by 18 boys: Emmett Hanson, Oliver Korth, Graham Lightfield, Bryan Meyer, Garrett Weber, Beckham Berry, Lance Engebretson, Liam Heller, Sam Rick, Jeter Scoular, Liam Street, Jaxson Wiese, Harley Zemlicka, Bryton Blauert, Lincoln Holscher, Gage Newstrand, Lawson Novy, and Max Scoular.
At the 2025 State Class A Track meet, several individuals and relays placed in the top eight:
Jacy Dexter placed sixth in the Pole Vault with her vault of 9’ 9”.
The 1600-Meter Relay team made up of Zayda Townsend, Adison Pauli, Ella Koplin, and Siera Wenzl placed fifth with their time of 4:04.92.
Sam Rick placed in three events – second in the Pole Vault with his vault of 14’ 0”, second in the Triple Jump with a jump of 43’ 3.25”, and eighth in the Long Jump with his jump of 19’ 10”.
Emmett Hanson placed seventh in the 110-Meter Hurdles with his time of 15.39. He also placed fifth in the 300-Meter Hurdles with his time of 40.97.
The 1600 M Sprint Medley Relay team of Garrett Weber, Harley Zemlicka, Emmett Hanson, and Bryan Meyer placed 6th overall with a time of 3:38.90.
The 1600-Meter Relay team made up of Bryan Meyer, Harley Zemlicka, Graham Lightfield, and Emmett Hanson placed fifth with their time of 3:30.69.
Overall, at the state meet, the boys as a team scored 30 points and finished in ninth place, The girls as a team scored 6.5 points and finished in 27th place.

Coach Townsend thanked the parents, fans, and athletes and other coaches for helping make the season successful. He wished the nine senior athletes – Katie Kruger, Gemma Street, Rylee Scoular, Ashlee Van Hoorn, Siera Wenzl, Emmett Hanson, Oliver Korth, Graham Lightfield, and Bryan Meyer – well and said, “Their leadership will be missed!”
