Lorraine Regina Pullis was born on February 21, 1926, in Graceville, Minnesota, to Joseph “Joe” and Grace (Loveless) Cook. She graduated from Graceville High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Donald Pullis in June of 1947. To this union, six children were born.

In 1966, she opened Lorraine’s Café on Main Street in Graceville and operated this business until 1982. She was well known for her home cooking, homemade soups, and pies. She took great pleasure and pride in making the pies for the Graceville Fire Department’s annual oyster feed for 25 years.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Don (Deb) Pullis of Graceville, MN; Rod (Molly Bialka-Boreen) Pullis of New Hope, MN; Jane (Ken) Longe of Big Lake, MN; Dennis (Patti) Pullis of Graceville, MN; brother, Kenny Cook of Wisconsin; sister, Dolores Randall of Colorado; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald N. Pullis, Sr.; daughter, Patricia “Trish” Smith; son, Thomas Pullis; grandson, Adam Smith; daughter-in-law, Barb Pullis; and brothers: Bernard Cook, Lyle Cook, and Duane Cook.
