The Milbank Area Chamber’s annual Hometown Christmas will glow even bigger and brighter this year. Two full days —Friday, December 5, and Saturday, December 6– will be packed with  activities for all ages. Check this list twice:  shopping events, the soup walk, Lego contest, free Christmas movie, vendor fair, the tree lighting ceremony, a visit from Santa, and more. Jamie Henderson of the  Milbank Area Chamber says, “The Soup Walk on Friday night is geared more towards adults and Saturday is designed for the whole family.”

But that’s not all. The new Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru Christmas lights at the Grant County 4-H grounds will keep shining all season long. From December 6 until New Year’s Day 2026, visitors – ages one to 101 can enjoy the colorful displays from the comfort of their cars. Lights will be aglow every evening from 5–9 p.m.

“The holiday season is a time for celebration and family,” says Melissa Mueller, Grant County 4-H Educator. “I remember as a child driving around with my family to look at Christmas lights.“

Individuals, businesses, churches, and civic organizations are invited to design a lighted display to add to the dazzle along the 4-H Barn “Loop.” You, too, can help create a magical drive-thru experience for the whole community.
