“This was our first meet of the year, and it felt great to be on the course,” commented Mark Keeton, head coach of the Lady Bulldogs. The MHS girls golf team competed in the Sisseton Invitational on Monday, April 20. “The cold and windy conditions made playing Valley View very difficult, but I was happy with our attitudes as we battled through less-than-ideal conditions,” Keeton added.
Milbank outshot Tri-Valley to take third place. They finished behind Roncalli, who took first place, and Groton who came in second.
Mackenzie Wegehapt of Roncalli was the medalist. She carded 94 at 22-over. Claire Crawford, also of Roncalli, finished second with her score of 98. Heath Kenzley of Sisseton was third at 99. Hortness Elliot, also of Sisseton, came in fourth at 29-over at 101.

Individual Scores for MHS: Sophomore Macie Van Lith was the highest finisher for the Lady Bulldogs. She took 11th place with her score of 123. Kylynn Schwandt also carded 123 at 51-over to come in 12th. Zora Henrich finished 14th at 124. Willow Bender took 17th place with 132 strokes.
