Lady Bulldogs Take Five in Milbank Invitational 

The Lady Bulldogs golf team hosted the Milbank Invitational on April 23 at Whetstone Creek Golf Course. Milbank took fifth place. Aberdeen Roncalli won the tourney as a team. Kenzley Heath of Sisseton was the medalist. She carded 78 at just six over.

MHS Head Golf Coach Mark Keeton said, “I was very pleased with how we competed, but we left recognizing some things that we could work on. As a team, we need to improve on cutting down our putts and strokes inside 50 yards.”

Teams included: Aberdeen Central, Aberdeen Roncalli, Groton Area, Madison, Redfield,  Sioux Valley, Sisseton, Watertown JV,  Waubay-Summit, and Tri-Valley.

1. Aberdeen –   63 over at 351
2. Madison – 77 over at 365
3. Sioux Valley – 122 over at 410
4. Aberdeen Central – 142 over at 430
5. Milbank – 187 over at 475
6. Watertown JV  – 194 over at 482
7. Tri-Valley –256 over at 544

Lady Bulldogs Scores:
Individually, Macie VanLith earned the highest finish for MIlbank. She captured 24th place with her score of 114. Zora Henrich was just behind her at 116 to take 26th place.

Willow Bender carded 122 for 31st place.

KyLynn Schwandt took 32nd with 123 strokes.
