The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Plains (BGCNP) and the Milbank School District will host a community meeting on Monday, June 15, at Milbank Elementary School. Two informational sessions, each followed by a question and answer period will be held. Bilingual services will be offered at both sessions. The first session begins at 5:30 p.m. and the second session will be at 6:30 p.m. The second session is specifically geared towards Spanish-speaking families.
BGCNP plans to begin operating at the Milbank School District on Tuesday, August 18 – the first day of the upcoming school year. They will serve junior kindergarten through fifth grade students with out-of-school- time programming.
First Bank & Trust and Valley Queen each contributed $25,000 to help support the Club, and as founding donors they are challenging the community to match their donations.
