
Zora Henrich completed her freshman season of golf at the 2026 South Dakota Girls State A Tournament on Tuesday, June 2, at Two Rivers Golf Club in Dakota Dunes (North Sioux City).
“Zora started off on Monday by setting her new personal best with a 100 and then proceeded to set a new personal best by carding a 94 on Tuesday. Her driver was fantastic for two days in a row, consistently long and in the fairway,” commented Mark Keeton, head golf coach for MHS. “What can you say she played her two best rounds of the year at the state tournament. It doesn’t get much better than that!”

Zora finished tied in 55th place with Piper Coleman of Rapid City Christian. Katie Betsworth of Dakota Valley was the medalist. She came in at two under at 138 in the two-day contest. Kaitlan Strain of St. Thomas More shot a 139 at one under to take second place. Rylan Horning, also of St. Thomas More, finished third at 141. Addicyn Sailer took fourth place at 143. Georgia Johnson of Vermillion was fifth at 150. Trey Speer of Chamberlain took sixth at 152. Kenzley Heath of Sisseton tied for seventh with Ronnie Wilharm of Vermillion at 153.
Milbank did not compete as a team. Class B Results
Brynn Roehrich, a junior at Clark Willow, won her third-straight high school golf crown and helped to power the Lady Cyclones to their first State B title in over 25 years. Her sister Faith, a seventh-grader, finished sixth.
St. Mary’s was second as a team. Miller took third. Deubrook Area was fourth. Philip finished in fifth place.The meet was held at Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings.
Class AA Results
Aberdeen Central won the 2026 team title. O’Gorman took second place. Mitchell claimed third, and Sioux Falls Lincoln took fourth place. Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central was the medalist. Ari Jacobs of O’Gorman was the runner up. Emma Dohrer, also of Aberdeen Central, finished third.
