MHS chorus members Jack ter Denge, Macy Mueller, and Bryton Blauert will perform in concert with the 52nd South Dakota High School Honor Choir in Rapid City on Friday, July 24. The trio will travel to Black Hills State University in Spearfish for rehearsals beginning July 19.
The choir will be directed by Dr. Lee Nelson of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Sophomore and junior chorus members from across the state were selected from live auditions. Results were based on a prepared solo, tonal memory, sight-singing ability, and a written test covering musical terminology.
