Mary Rethke Wins First Milbank Mistletoe Drawing

Mary Rethke of Milbank was the first winner in the Milbank Area Chamber of Commerce Milbank Mistletoe holiday promotion drawing Saturday, November 26. She won $700 in Ol’ Mill Bucks and was the fourth name drawn. Rethke was present at Lewis Family Drug.

Three other names were drawn prior to Rethke, but were not present to collect the top prize. Connie Rufer, Julie Radermacher and Marie Loutsch all will receive $100.

“I’m really not sure what I will spend the money on,” Rethke smiled. “I never win anything.” The next drawing will take place Saturday, December 3, at 2 p.m.

The chamber also reminds community members to nominate their neighbor for the annual holiday lighting contest. Winners of the lighting contest will be announced each week with the winners receiving $50 in Ol’ Mill Bucks. Winners will be announced each Monday beginning December 5, with the last winner named December 19. To nominate your neighbor, contact the chamber office at 605-432-6656.
