St. Lawrence School exceeded its goal of $16,000 during the 2017 Catholic Schools Raffle. They raised $16,700. Every dollar stays in Milbank.

The annual fundraiser includes schools in South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota. It raised over $1,066,450 this year. Catholic United Financial, sponsor of the 80-school raffle, also rewards the student ticket sellers.

The top-selling student from St. Lawrence was Keaton Johnson, son of Sara Johnson and Jack Johnson. He raised $1,590 and was awarded a Kindle Fire HD tablet. The fifth grade class was the top-selling grade at St. Lawrence. They raised $4,050, and receive a pizza party for their efforts. Candy Cloos is their teacher.

Prizes valued at over $40,000 were given away. Joan Reiffenberger of Big Stone City won a family museum trip package. She receives tickets to the Minnesota Children’s Museum, tickets to the Mill City Museum, and hotel accommodations.
